Taking Back Your Narrative is an exciting new webinar series from Social Current’s Public Policy & Government Relations office. This series will empower social sector organizations, staff, and volunteers to transform their expertise, lived experience, and passions into an effective advocacy strategy to create local, regional, and national change.

In this webinar, the third in the series, we will provide novice and seasoned policy and change advocates the chance to participate in a briefing on government contracting reform, grant-making, and other topics covered in the op-ed, “Government contract reform is a must for social sector nonprofits,” authored by Social Current’s President and CEO Jody Levison-Johnson in New York Nonprofit Media.

The gap between what it costs nonprofits to deliver services and what government contracts pay has been an issue for a long time. It’s forced many community-based organizations to risk financial instability just so they can continue providing essential services to their communities. In this webinar, we’ll discuss how government contracting and grant reform can be done to set the nonprofit sector up for financial success.
